This year I did a collaborative effort with my sister Theresa Uttecht out of West Springfield, Massachusetts. Our theme was the movie "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". A deliciously creepy 1920's German Expressionism film which is arguably the first horror movie.

The piano is on display August 7th thru September 8th. To see where it will be click on the link below.

Vorkurs

Meeting a collector today in the South Sound.  He is purchasing "Vorkurs" the signature piece of my Bauhaus series.  It has been on display at Zola's the last couple months and I've had alot of interest in it.  Its hard to let go of this piece but the collector "loves it" and that makes it easier knowing its going to a good home.

Some people have asked about my layout of assembled pieces like this. I do plan them out and put much thought into it. I've included one of my cheat sheets here:

Fern commission

Finished another commission of my fern series. Enjoyed the day in the studio yesterday finishing details and listening to music (Wood Bros., Lord Huron, Jeremy Messersmith, Social Distortion, Nickel Creek). Headed to Seattle soon to deliver to the collector.
